SYMPTOMS:

• Vehicle won’t start or won’t enter READY mode
• Dashboard message displayed
• Hybrid system function lost

POSSIBLE CAUSES:

• ECU has disabled the battery module as a protection response
• For 2005–2008: jumpstart button may be required
• For 2009+: diagnostic testing usually required prior to replacement approval
