What About the Toyota Warranty?
UK Yaris Hybrids have some of the best battery cover in the business. On top of the standard warranty, Toyota extends hybrid battery cover by 12 months each time the car passes a Hybrid Health Check at a Toyota dealer, up to 15 years from first registration.
That is excellent while it lasts. But there are two catches. The cover depends on keeping up those annual checks, and it ends at 15 years no matter what. The earliest Yaris Hybrids from 2012 and 2013 are now reaching that cut-off. Once the cover ends, the owner carries the risk.
