The BMW 330e badge has been used across several generations of the 3 Series plug-in hybrid. Although the cars share the same model name, their high-voltage batteries are not interchangeable.
Greentec Auto UK provides BMW 330e battery replacement for selected models from 2015 to 2025. Our team checks the registration year, vehicle specification and battery application before confirming the correct replacement.

The current Greentec Auto UK range covers three main BMW 330e applications:
Each generation uses a different plug-in hybrid battery application. Selecting a replacement based only on the 330e badge can result in the wrong unit being supplied.
Contact our team with your registration number and model year before ordering. We will review the vehicle information, confirm the correct listing and check current availability.
The first-generation BMW 330e introduced plug-in hybrid driving to the 3 Series range. These are now the oldest 330e models commonly found on UK roads.
Owners may begin to notice reduced electric range or more frequent petrol-engine use as the battery ages. Previous battery repairs, vehicle history and the current condition of the hybrid system should also be considered before replacement is recommended.
The next generation introduced a larger battery and increased electric capability. It also included features designed to combine electric assistance with stronger performance.
Because these cars use a different battery application from the earlier 330e, the replacement must be matched to the correct generation. The vehicle body style, drivetrain and registration details should all be provided when making an enquiry.
The latest BMW 330e uses another high-voltage battery configuration and offers a longer official electric range than previous generations.
These vehicles are still relatively new, so battery enquiries may be related to a system fault, previous damage or an unexpected reduction in performance rather than normal long-term wear.
The vehicle should be assessed before any decision is made.
A change in electric performance does not always mean the complete battery needs replacing. However, it is worth arranging an assessment if you notice:
Electric range can also vary because of temperature, driving style, route, cabin heating and vehicle load. A proper assessment helps separate normal range variation from a developing battery problem.
The correct approach depends on the condition of the battery, the age of the car and how long you plan to keep it.
Where more than one battery option is available, our team can explain the differences between them and confirm which products are suitable for your vehicle.
Before proceeding, consider:
We would rather help you make an informed decision than recommend replacement without enough information.
In some cases, testing may show that the problem is limited to a particular component or section of the battery system. In other cases, overall battery deterioration may make replacement the more appropriate option.
A repair should not be recommended until the battery and related systems have been assessed. Replacing one component within a heavily worn battery may not provide a lasting result.
Our team will review the findings and explain whether further assessment, repair or complete replacement is the sensible next step.
Battery condition is an important consideration when buying a used plug-in hybrid.
Before purchasing a BMW 330e:
The displayed range is only an estimate and can change with recent driving conditions. An independent battery assessment provides more useful information than relying on the dashboard figure alone.
BMW 330e batteries contain high-voltage components and must be handled using appropriate procedures. Installation involves more than removing the existing unit and fitting another battery.
The process may include:

Ben and George are absolutely amazing! I came in after learning my Toyota Hybrid battery needed replacing. They took me through the work that needed doing, took photos of the process and repaired my hybrid battery. Since having the work done, my car drives smoothly and I feel confident driving it again! If you’re looking for a hybrid battery replacement in and around Manchester, this is your place.

I am one of Greentec earliest customers in Manchester. They replaced my Tesla model 3 performance battery. The full range is back to 303 miles. Ben kept in close contact during the process. The car runs perfectly. Highly professional, very skilled and significantly lower cost the Tesla. I highly recommend their services

Meeting Ben and George was a great experience, both incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and clearly knew their stuff – Took me through the whole process and were greatly accommodating as well. Picking the car up was an equally great experience, showed me top to bottom how they’d diagnosed the issue, what they’d found (some components may as well have been charcoal they were that corroded), how they fixed it and included pictures of the whole process. Thanks again guys, great stuff.

Their technical knowledge of Tesla vehicles was very reassuring, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. The cost was also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work and the level of expertise involved. Everything was handled efficiently and professionally, and the car was back on the road quickly. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the service I received and wouldn’t hesitate to use Greentech Auto again in the future. Highly recommended for anyone needing reliable and knowledgeable EV service.

A massive thanks to Ben and George We came to you after our bmw x5 showed problems with the charging system BMW at Sheffield wanted to charge us 5k for the repair to the battery safety box. We also tried two independents at Sheffield neither were interested in diagnosing the problem. Ben and his team came way under the quoted price from bmw and talked me through what was needed, kept me informed of every step of the repair We now have a car that is in fully working order. I would highly recommend anyone with a problem with a EV to try greentec Very happy customer
