Greentec Auto Limited – Terms & Conditions of Sale

These Terms & Conditions govern all sales of hybrid and electric vehicle batteries (“Products”) and related installation or diagnostic services (“Services”) supplied by Greentec Auto Limited (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) to consumers (“You”, “Your”) on or after 1st October 2025.

By purchasing from Us—whether online, by phone, or in person—you agree to these Terms. Your statutory rights are not affected.

1. Information We Must Provide You

Before You place an order with Us, We are legally required to provide certain key information so that You can make an informed purchase decision. This includes:

  • Description of the Product or Service:  Clear, accurate details about each Product or service, including key features, price, specifications, and suitability for Your vehicle.
  • Total price:  The full amount payable, including VAT, delivery costs, and any applicable Core Deposit or service fees.
  • Payment and delivery details:  How and when payment must be made, delivery timescales, and how ownership and risk pass to You.
  • Your right to cancel: For distance sales (online or by phone), You have a 14-day “cooling-off period” from receipt of the Product to change Your mind.
  • Warranty and after-sales service: Information about Your Product Warranty and how to make a claim.

    This information is clearly presented on Our website, during the checkout process, and in Your order confirmation email or invoice.

2. About Us

Greentec Auto Limited is registered in England and Wales and specialises in the sale, remanufacture, and installation of hybrid and electric vehicle batteries. We aim to promote sustainability through reuse and recycling of battery components and the responsible handling of end-of-life battery systems.

3. Products and Services

All Product descriptions, specifications, and prices are provided in good faith and based on current information. We reserve the right to make reasonable improvements or technical updates where necessary for safety or performance.

Important: Hybrid and EV batteries are high-voltage systems that must be handled by qualified technicians.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT at the applicable rate.
Full payment is required at the time of order via secure online checkout, card payment, or approved payment terminal.

Deposits:
In certain cases, We may accept a deposit toward an order. Any deposit arrangement must be pre-authorised by the General Manager before payment is made. Orders paid by deposit will not be dispatched or scheduled for installation until the outstanding balance has been paid in full.

Installation Before Full Payment:
Where We agree to install a Product before full payment is received, ownership of the Product remains with Greentec Auto Limited until all outstanding sums are settled.

If the Product has been installed in Your vehicle, the vehicle will not be released or handed back until payment has been received in full and cleared funds. We reserve the right to retain possession of the vehicle under a lien for unpaid work or goods as permitted by UK law.

Core/Surcharge Deposit: Some Products require a refundable Core Deposit to ensure the return of Your old battery (“Core Unit”). The deposit amount is displayed at checkout and refunded once the Core Unit is received, inspected, and accepted.

5. Delivery and Collection

We deliver throughout the UK. Delivery costs and estimated times are shown at checkout or quoted before confirming Your order.

Risk and Ownership:

  • Risk passes to You once the Product is delivered into Your possession.
  • Ownership transfers only after full payment is received (including deposits).

Missed Deliveries: If delivery fails due to an incorrect address or your unavailability, re-delivery charges may apply.

6. Installation Options

  1. Workshop Installation: We can fit the Product at our authorized workshop. Installation dates will be confirmed upon purchase by our team.
  2. Mobile Installation: Our mobile team can install the Product at your chosen location, provided the vehicle is safely accessible and suitable for on-site work. Not all battery types are eligible for mobile fitting—our team will confirm suitability before confirming your booking.
  3. Self-Installation / Third-Party Fitting: If You order online, the Product can be installed by you or a qualified third party. A refundable Core Deposit applies to self-installation purchases (see Section 9).

7. Warranty

All Products supplied and installed by us are covered by our Product Warranty, which is available separately and published on Our website.

The Warranty begins on the date of purchase, unless the Product is installed by Greentec Auto Limited, in which case the Warranty will commence on the date of installation completion.

The Warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, tampering, or unauthorised modification of the Product.

8. Your Legal Rights (Consumer Protection)

You have important statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related legislation.

If a Product is Faulty or Not as Described (NON INSTALLED PRODUCTS):

  • Within 30 days of delivery, You may reject it for a full refund.
  • After 30 days, You may request a repair or replacement. If this cannot be done within a reasonable time, You may seek a price reduction or refund.

Installed Products:
If You requested installation within the 14-day cancellation period, Your right to cancel ends once the Service is completed. If cancelled mid-service, You must pay for work performed up to that point.


9. Core Unit Return Policy

If Your order includes a Core Deposit:

  • Return the complete, undamaged Core Unit within 45 days of receiving Your new Product.
  • Return options: Our arranged courier (cost deducted from refund), or your own courier or in-person drop-off.
  • Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days of receipt and inspection via your original payment method. (Please note that some banks can take 3-5 days to process)

Failure to return within 45 days forfeits the deposit but does not affect Your warranty.

10. Cancelling Your Order (Cooling-Off Period)

For online or phone sales, You may cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • Notify Us within 14 days of receiving the Product.
  • Return the Product within 14 days of notification (You pay return postage).
  • Refunds include Product price and standard delivery, processed within 14 days of return. We may reduce refunds for diminished value due to handling or use.

Exceptions:

  • Batteries that have been installed, used, or connected to a vehicle are excluded from cancellation once used.
  • Completed installation Services are non-refundable.


11. Limitation of Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to comply with these Terms or by negligence. We are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, business or commercial loss, or damage caused by unauthorised handling or installation.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or defective Products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

12. Safety Notice

Hybrid and EV batteries operate at high voltage. Incorrect handling can cause electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Installation and servicing should only be performed by trained professionals.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
